Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sugar, salt, shortening and part of flour. Beat well! Add egg and then gradually add flour while mixing well until you have a stiff dough. Knead on floured board until elastic. Place in greased bowl and let to rise until doubled. Separate into 3 loaf pan or pinch into rolls. Let rise until doubled. Bake at 350° about 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
