Ingredients
- 2½ lbs tart apples, peeled and thin sliced
- 1⅔ cups butterscotch morsels
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup all purpose flour
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- Topping
- ½ cup all purpose flour
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ stick butter
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- ¾ cups quick oats
Instructions
- Apple Layer – Arrange apples in 13 x 9 pan. Combine morsels, sugar, flour and cinnamon in small bowl; sprinkle over apples. Bake 20 minutes 375°. Topping: Combine flour, sugar in medium bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender. Stir in nuts and oats. Spring over apple layer. Bake for an additional 30-40 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is lightly browned. Cool slightly. Serve with with ice cream, if desired.
